App translations

I try to offer SubTotal in as many localizations as possible. Because I only speak English and German, I crowd-sourced the translations and everyone is welcome to help translating the app into his or her mother tongue. Over the time, many users added their translations and updated them when new app version were released - thank you so much for your help!
If you want to help but your language isn't available on the website, please let me know and I will unlock it.

I noticed that the language cannot be selected in the app. I assume that the system language is selected. The problem is that MacOSX is not available in Galician. Will it be possible to implement Galician in your app?

Xurxo B Hi Xurxo, thanks for offering your help! I added Galician to the available languages and it's ready for translation. I know it takes a lot of time, but you can use the "Automatic suggestions" tab to greatly speed up the process, it suggests translations that you can accept with a click.

In my macOS I can select Galician as a language. macOS doesn't have a Galician localization and will remain in Spanish/English, whatever you chose as second language, but apps that support Galician will be using the localization.

Hi Timo,
The translation is finished 🙂. Just a quick note: the correct label for the language is "Galego" (not "Gallego"). Language Code: gl or gl_ES. However, if that is the system's naming convention, you can leave it as it is.

Regarding the language selector, Galician (Spain) does not appear on my Mac. Catalan (Spain) does appear. My Mac runs Sequoia 15.7.4 (24G517).

Can I access the translation in the app now, or do you still need to make some UI/backend adjustments?

Hi again, Timo. I realized that SubTotal currently doesn't support Withholding Tax (IRPF in Spain). Since I operate under a 'business activity' (actividade empresarial), I don't need to subtract it from my invoices, so the app works perfectly for me.

However, for many other freelancers in Spain (those in 'professional activities'), this is mandatory. They need to subtract 15% from the subtotal. If you want to make SubTotal fully compatible with the Spanish market in the future, adding a 'Negative Tax' or 'Withholding' option would be a killer feature!"

Wow, that was quick, thanks so much! I just uploaded a fresh update (v1.7) so your translations unfortunately will only make it in the version after that.
