"gibberish" in PDF

Hey,

"Today I issued a document and unfortunately these "gibberish" characters appeared. I reset the device, checked for updates, but unfortunately nothing improved. I also checked older documents and it decodes them from PDF like this as well. Is there any help?"

Thats very weird. I'm unable to reproduce the problem using the same app version. Perhaps a problem with your PDF viewer?

I cannot reproduce the issue at all. Did you also try another font?

Hi, I have the same problem after updating the Mac app today.

I would really like to fix this but I am still unable to reproduce. I tested v1.5.75 on Windows, Android and macOS, with different PDF viewer apps.
Please help me with answering the questions I already posted above:

Does this also happen with other fonts or only Roboto?
What apps do you use to view the PDFs? On macOS, does the problem also happen with the "Preview" app?
Can you please send me one of those files via mail (subtotalapp@outlook.com)?

timo Yes, it happens with all fonts. I am using Adobe and Gear pdf, the problem is still the same with Preview.

HristoHristov Would it be possible to create a database backup in the app settings, then completely reset or reinstall the app, create a blank invoice and see if the problem happens with that also? Can you perhaps send a screenshot of the "invoice type" screen that you are using?

SzymonLa Your mails were in the spam folder, I now found them and was able to see the problem. I still don't know why it's not happening for me...

Hi everyone,

Timo, I’m experiencing the same issue. It appears to affect all my devices (iMac, iPad, and iPhone) and occurs with all invoices—both old and new—when using PDF Layout 2. Modifying the font settings while Layout 2 is selected does not resolve the problem. However, when I switched to Layout 1 in order to send out some urgent invoices, everything displayed correctly without any issues.

I hope this information is helpful in identifying and resolving the problem. Layout 2 is my preferred format, so I’d be glad to see it functioning properly again ;-))

I was able to fix the problem and uploaded version 1.5.76 which should become available in the next hours or days
