Delivery or service date is missing

In Germany every Bill needs to show a delivery or service date: The date the delivery or service was completed.

I could not find this field and also no other topic here.

There is a field for this value in the e-invoice dialog and for PDF invoices you can currently either add this in the free text fields (and potentially use the {date_invoice} placeholder) and/or rename the invoice date key in the invoice type

Hi Timo, thanks for your quick reply. This is sad as in Germany every Invoice needs to have the service date. If I write it manually it could be forgotten as there is no "Master Document" from to copy at.

I understand your concern about forgetting to add it manually. The requirement does not apply to every invoice, however, and a single service date can also be sufficient.

SubTotal already supports a service date for e-invoices. For adding it as a dedicated field to PDF invoices, please join the discussions linked above, where I outlined the challenges, and add your use case or like there.

I’m sorry, but I cannot issue the refund myself, as the app stores do not provide developers with that option. All functional features of SubTotal can be tested before purchasing the Pro version.

As mentioned, the service date can currently be added manually to PDF invoices and is available as a dedicated field for e-invoices. You’re welcome to contribute to one of the linked feature discussions with your specific requirements or ideas. The main challenge is finding a clean UI that supports a single service date, a service period, or no separate date at all. Perhaps together we can find a good solution that can then be implemented.
