Sometimes, our customers require us to add some documents to an invoice, e.g. a scan of a participants list of a workshop signed by the participants.
So far, we have simply appended these documents in additional pages of the PDF invoice.
However, for PDF e-invoices it is required to add these as embedded attachments, just like the XML part (cf. [https://fnfe-mpe.org/factur-x/factur-x_en/] page 28/29). To do this, we’d have to make an editable copy of the PDF/A-3 e-invoice generated by SubTotal, embed the additional files and finally format it as a PDF/A-3 again. This would not only be cumbersome, but also require some expensive software.
Since SubTotal obviously already has the code for embedding attachments and for formatting the PDF as PDF/A-3, it would be great if it could offer an Add Attachments button in the e-invoice dialog, which would open a file selection dialog to choose the additional files to add.
