Additional layout template

Hätte jemand noch Interesse daran, eine weitere alternative Layoutvorlage für die Rechnungen mit zu gestalten?
Ich hätte gerne eine Variante, bei der das Logo links oben ist - bisher gibt es nur Varianten, die das Logo auf der rechten Seite haben. Würde mich freuen, wenn wir noch ein oder zwei alternative Layouts in dem Programm hätten.

I would like a variant where the logo is at the top left - so far there are only variants that have the logo on the right. I would be happy if we had one or two alternative layouts in the program.

What does Layout mean in this case?
In Bill2 one could use a kind of html/css layout system that was rendered by the app. That was easy to design.
But there were other issues that brought me to SubTotal.

So How this could be done?

rolfahlborn SubTotal offers four different layouts that you can choose from for rendering the PDFs - you can select one for each "invoice type". The layouts of SubTotal are more or less hard-wired and aren't as flexible as the ones other (more advanced/complex) apps might offer. An editor to allow full flexibility goes beyond what I can offer as a solo developer with what is meant to be a slim and simple app.
This thread is to collect suggestions for a possible fifth PDF layout. If you have a certain requirement that none of the existing four layouts can offer, you can suggest it here.

Okay I understand, I thought the templating was made "easier" in terms of common layout stuff.

What about the possibility to add an extra image at or below "Mein Name" for signing e-Rechnung in one step, without the need to add a sign in a third party app?
OR
Implementing/changing the field with "Ich freue mich...." to an RTF (or what ever possible) to insert an image?

Timo, what do you think about the last comments? Do you think it’s possible to integrate another one with the wishes, which came together here?
or what do you need for an Integration of another layout like this?

(Just if needed we could use comments directly in the PDF I’ve uploaded above, as a basis for discussion and exact needs on a new layout. But I don’t have idea which free online tool let us work/comment on a PDF🫣)

Yippeah Thanks for your suggestion and sorry that I didn't respond. It's just that I am currently pretty busy with my other apps. Could you perhaps add some comments on what in particular is important about your layout suggestion and where it differentiates from the existing ones? Is it the column on the right? Or is it the small(er) title text? Or the position of the buyer address so that it shows through the address cutout in mail envelopes?

I worked on a possible 5th PDF layout based on the ideas in this thread and attached a preview.

The draft focuses on a top-left logo, a recipient address positioned for a DIN-style envelope window, invoice title/metadata on the top-right, a clean line-item table, aligned totals, and contact/payment information in the footer.

I intentionally kept it as one additional built-in layout rather than a fully flexible template editor, because I still want SubTotal to stay simple.

I’m especially interested in your feedback on these points:

does the top-left logo placement solve the main issue with the current templates?
is the envelope-window address positioning important/useful to you?
do you miss the stronger right-side information column from the example, or is this cleaner version preferable?
should payment/contact information stay in the footer, or be more prominent?

Would this layout be a useful addition to the existing four templates? What would you change?
