Invoice template for Timesheet export

I like to generate a more formal timesheet overview in the style/ template of an invoice for each customer. Instead of creating an invoice in WorkingHours it would be great to generate just an overview of my working hours per client w/o billing information. Background: I am urged by my clients to obtain approval of the timesheet before issuing an invoice. The export to csv is a very minimalistic way and requires post-processing. I know that this feature might also be related to subTotal.

This more sounds like a feature request for WorkingHours. Why is the xlsx export feature in WorkingHours not sufficient or how would it be different from what you suggest?

I like to generate an PDF with an overview of tasks and hours per month etc. simular to an invoice but without billing details (total amount, price per hours etc.). I created an invoice template per customer that can be reused for timesheet report. It contains all the necessary details. If there might be a button in WorkingHours simular to “generate invoice” like generate timesheet report. I can reuse the process as if I generate an invoice.

What it requires is another button in WorkingHours and a template in subTotal for “Rechnungsart” like timesheet report. Having the ability in this template to disable subtotal, prices and total amount (all billing details) and just list the tasks and hours will cover my requirements.

FrankPflugbeil I still didn't understand what the difference compared to an xlsx Excel file generated by WorkingHours would be - except that it'd be a PDF file.
I don't want to add additional buttons to WorkingHours export screen if it can be achieved somehow else

Understood! Then there might be a bug (or works as designed?) in the export menu of WorkingHours. When checkbox „Verdienst“ is unchecked the total amount etc. is not exported to .xlsx (just total amount of hours or what ever is chosen in the export menu) but to a draft Rechnung in subTotal when using „Rechnung erstellen“. If this billing items (Verdienst) is not exported (when checkbox Verdienst is unchecked) and using the „Rechnung erstellen“ button then this will solve my pain… :-)

FrankPflugbeil This is not a bug but working as intended. I think an invoice doesn't make a lot of sense if the earnings are omitted.
I still don't understand what the "pain" is. I still don't understand what the problem with the xlsx export file is.

The xlsx export requires post processing: I need to copy the content of the xlsx file and past it to a document which has a simular style as for a invoice (header and footer, contact details, logo etc.). The timesheet should have a more official/ formal style instead of providing a table to my clients. I usually need to generate 4-6 timesheets per month which is a lot of extra (copy’n’past and customization effort) if I could not use the already existing function like for “Rechnung erstellen”.

So omitting billing details by unchecked “Verdienst” when using “Rechnung erstellen” is not an option?
Apart from this the functionality is already existing in export menu of WorkingHours and Auftragsart / invoice typ in subTotal. And it will safe me a lot of time and i can run all my monthly processes (timesheet, invoice) in one ecosystem… 😀
